Ok! I am trying to get my hair back long like it was before I started my job. But, for some reason at one point I became scissor happy! I cut and cut but I still enjoyed my style but I thought to myself, I wanted to make it longer! Well I ordered this last week and it came quickly! IT was right on time because I had just washed my hair and I applied it on my finger-tips and massaged it in my hair, of course I did it on both sides, then I put some on my finger-tips again and put it on the tips of my ends to seal them and it did just that it sealed the heck out of my ends! I actually tired the other jamaican black castor oil and I think that it may be too strong for my hair, but this one is right on point! And since I use a lot of coconut oil for me this was the better choice. IT is not strong smelling and it did what I expected it to do and that was giving me shiny results and sealed my ends! I believe my hair looks healthier than usual. I mean it was healthy before but it looks 4 times better! I am definitely going to keep this! Especially for my ends because it is very light! :) I hope this helps one of the ladies with the purchase! Buy it! I am glad I did! :)

I started using this product because even though I LOVE Jamaican Black Castor Oil (Tropic Isle Living brand only), I found that the product was too potent/strong (itching and some other irritation)for my scalp. I had used coconut oil before so I decided to try this new Jamaican Black Castor Oil w/Coconut. I love it! It is lighter than the original & lavendar JBCO versions and on my relaxed hair, it absorbs better because its lighter. Its not as potent as original JBCO because its mixed with coconut oil.
I read on Amazon that some users weren't thrilled with it because it wasn't as potent as the original JBCO and they wanted a strong JBCO. Others were upset that it doesn't smell any better than plain JBCO. This is true... it does not smell like coconut. It smells like JBCO just not as strong as pure JBCO without coconut. Another thing is since this contains virgin coconut oil, please note that the oil will solidify in less that 78 deg temperature. If thats a problem, just hold the bottle under warm running water and it will liquify within 2 minutes.
Bottom line, if you love JBCO and the potency doesn't bother you, but you want the benefits of coconut oil too, you might just want to buy some extra virgin coconut oil and make your own version of this product... it is easy enough to do and you can control the oil amounts, making sure that your JBCO is still strong enough for you. However, if thats too much work, or you want a lighter version of JBCO with coconut already added, then this product is perfect for you.
I hope this review helps somebody.
