I am currently transitioning from relaxed to natural hair and doing a lot of reading (of course). I read about henna and it's conditioning and coloring properties and I wanted to give it a try. I wanted to try Nupur first because of the added herbs. I took my braids out this past Friday and did the henna the next day. My hair feels strong and the shedding has decreased so much it's really crazy! I also ordered hibiscus and added it. The color came out nice and rich; my grays were a lil coppery but have toned down a lot in the last few days. I think I didn't add enough hibiscus so increasing the next time. Also, the customer service was great!!! Ordered on a Thurs and got my items on that Monday!!! Had a lot of questions and they were all answered thru FB in a quick timely manner. Will definitely order again and order even more products.

I've been using BAQ Jamila Henna with great success for quite some time now. I purchased 4 bags of Nupur when Ayurnaturalbeauty had its summer sale (great opportunity to try EVERYTHING! LOL). After mixing this, I didn't realize that I had to wait 4 hours for the dye release (with Jamila, the dye release is immediate so I never had to wait). So after a few hours passed, I was too tired...so I froze it and used it today (a week later). And let me say that this Henna is AMAZING! My hair is super soft and fluffy. So happy to get these results with something other than Jamila BAQ henna. Although I have to say that the Nupur is a bit harder to rinse out. But no worries. The results are phenom!

I have used cassia in the past, but by far this was a great experience this product did exactly what it said it would do. After the first application my hair felt much stronger and more conditioned, and I could definitely see a difference in my individual hair strands. This product is definitely a staple after the first use. I have African American natural 4a,4b hair.

I purchased this, along with the hibiscus petal powder. My natural hair color is dark brown. I used this henna for the first time last week. I tweeked the instructions a bit and mixed the Nupur henna with: hibiscus petal powder, water, a splash of grape juice, a splash of apple juice, and a bit of olive oil. I waited about 4 hours for dye release, applied it to my hair, and left it on for 4 hours. It was easy to apply, didn't have a strong odor at all (it smelled like chamomile or anise tea to me), and was really easy to wash out. It gave my hair beautiful red highlights in the sun/light. Indoors my hair looks darker brown. It is a very rich and beautiful color. My hair is silky smooth and looks extremely healthy. It is stronger,& my hair is falling out way less than before. It took a couple of days for the "results" to show, but it was worth the wait! I am pleased with the results and will definitely continue to apply this henna to my hair.

I have been reading about this henna. I finally ordered it and got it yesterday. I put about a cup of henna with water to give it a pudding consistency, then I added 1 TBSP of Parachute coconut oil and a squirt of honey and let it release overnight. The day before I did a deep conditioning (3 hours) of cholesterol and placenta hot oil. Then, last night I applied the Bhenraj Oil and twisted my hair and put on bonnet. This morning, I washed the oil out with African Black soap and applied henna for 4 hours (covered with saran wrap and plastic grocery bag). It rinsed out so easy and my hair was silky, soft, and the curls popped. I moisturized with East African shea butter and the parachute coconut oil. My hair is a coppery red in the sun and I love it!

I have medium to dark brown hair and this product alone made my hair a little too orange, so this time I mixed up this package and when it was ready, I mixed a 100gm package of henna. I wondered if this would be wasting too much, but my hair is chest length/mid back length. I mixed the 2 together and my hair is a nice dark brown with red highlights. The last time wasn't bad, but this time is closer to my natural color and I love it!!

I've always had thick but unruly hair and some minor breakage every now and then, recently I bought this [...], and i tried it last night!!! I was skeptical of the results I'd get in the beginning but wow, my hair has never been this easy to manage! I put a shower cap on and waited at least an hour and half to condition before washing it out.I am thrilled that I can use this as a form of relaxer instead of other chemical/unnatural relaxers. The Best thing? Nupur mehendi is all natural!

I am very impressed with this product. Yes, the first time looked pretty orangey, but It gets darker each time, so I am thrilled! The conditioning properties of the added herbals are fabulous and my hair feels softer than with usual henna preparations. The texture of the mixed product is fabulous, no graininess and it was SO easy to wash out. This is my favorite brand! Thanks

I use henna regularly. This one was recommened by my local Indian grocer. Easy mixing, didnt smell bad, but poor instructions for items that are good to mix with the henna.
My hair is soft, much stronger, my breakage has almost stopped and very detangled. It also loosened my curl pattern considerably. I only let it sit for 30mins as I use henna for conditioning not coloring. Very easy to rinse out and did not stain my shower.
Also, my grays turned orange. LOL Will buy again.
