  1. I LOVE this stuff!

Posted by Tlynnsmith on Jul 15 2011

It's...amazing. Oils don't usually thrill me. They do the job...sealing in moisture, but I never get excited about oils. Before this oil, there was only ONE oil that I considered to be on my "Holy Grail" list, and it's costly.

This is oil is inexpensive, and my hair "drinks" it, with no oily/greasy residue.

  2. Loving this oil for my hair

Posted by Shelia E on Jul 12 2011

I love this hair oil and use it overnight and it is a delightful experience. I use it as a massage oil and use it as a pre-treatment before shampoo, deep condition, henna treatment, or at least once a week for hair treatment. It has a light citrusy scent and once rinsed out; it leaves my hair shiny and well-moisturized.

  3. Versatile

    Posted by C'est Moi ;-) on Jul 09 2011

I love this oil. I heat mine always before I use it (on colder days). The only negative thing I can say is my hair does not like this oil when it is applied it dry hair. I have a heavy hand so I over use products all the time. The first time I used it on my dry hair, it resulted in.......DRY HAIR--lmao, ruff and not so good looking.

My hair loves it on wet hair as a sealer or damp hair as a shiner, before I use a cream. I mix it into almost every product I use, it's so versatile. I use it as a pre-poo treatment, hot oil treatment, I even use it as an eye makeup remover. ;-)

Oh! and the bottle goes a looooooong way. I'm talking months and months of use with the large size bottle.

You can't go wrong with this product.

  4. my secret to healthy, shiny hair

Posted by Vicky T on Jun 10 2011

I bought the 150 ml bottle a year ago & I love it. It lasts so long! I use it at least 2x a month, sometimes once a week during cold, winter months. For deep treatment, I apply the oil before bedtime & wash my hair the next morning.

I've tried olive oil & other brands' deep treatments, hot oils, etc. but none compares to this one.

  5. Never use another

Posted by Alakea Kiani on Apr 30 2011

I heard a lot about this oil, so I decided to try it, and I absolutely loved it! I loved the smell and the way it makes my hair feel. Vatika oil is my best friend.

  6. Many Uses

Posted by LYG on Mar 11 2011

First off I LOVE the smell of this oil its a very light and refreshing fragrance. It has many uses. I use this to oil my scalp daily, as a Pre-shampoo treatment, i also add it to my deep conditioning recipe and its part of my leave-in elixir. If its too hard to get out of the bottle I simply dip it in a bowl of very warm water for 20 mins. then it pours right out. This oil is definitely a staple in my hair care regimen.

  7. Only 4 stars because it's my first ayurvedic oil experience

Posted by Yogee on Mar 07 2011

I have seen many favorable reviews on hair boards, youtube and the Internet regarding Vatika Oil. I had to see what the love affair was all about.

I enjoy the feel of my hair after deep conditioning or pre-shampoo treatment with extra virgin coconut oil. This, however, is the Rolls Royce of coconut oil. I love the extra goodies and herbs and the aroma is yummy too.

This is the perfect selection for a first-time experience with ayurvedic practices in my opiniion. My hair is softer, shinier and I've had much less shedding. It's light for my fine hair and a little still goes a long way. I'm looking forward to the darkening effects over time. I may never need to use colorants again.

I look forward to trying other ayurvedic oils. I'm very pleased with this purchase and will order again, many times over.

  8. Oil from the heavens

Posted by Vierge Vraie on Mar 05 2011

I ordered a 150ml bottle because I was not sure I would like it. Now I have to order a bigger bottle because this oil is absolutley wonderful! The smell is delicious and the texture is a bit gritty which lets you know the oil is chock full of essentials for the hair. I tried this oil from the satisfied customers on You Tube and now I am convinced that this is oil from the heavens. I love it!

  9. Best Oil I've EVER Used!

Posted by BJB on Dec 10 2010

I have used Dabur Vatika Oil pretty consistently for the last 5+ years. I first began using it in 2005, and it immediately transformed my overprocessed relaxed hair into soft, shiny, and strong hair. The shine this oil provides is UNBELIEVABLE, and the herbs imparted to the hair and scalp are very nourishing. I would recommend this oil to ANYONE. It really softens my hair...I use it on dry hair before styling and on damp hair after shampooing and conditioning.

I must say I'd be VERY sad if they ever stopped making this oil! I take the plastic stopper out and warm in a cup or bowl of hot water to make it easier to pour. Most coconut oil preparations (including this one) solidify at temperatures below about 73 degrees Fahrenheit. I will continue to use this oil as long as they keep making it!!

  10. One of my staples!

Posted by Flowinlocks on May 22 2010

I have been using Vatika oil since the beginning of my Ayurvedic journey. I love the light lemon scent. And it literally melts my new growth. I love this oil as a prepoo or as a leave in. I have experienced growth with it as well as the Shikakai oil. An easy tip for getting it out, is to remove the plastic insert from the mouth of the bottle.Replace the cap and let the bottle sit in warm water till it's easy to pour.
